Brian Chatwin Passes Away Peacefully

Brian Chatwin died peacefully on 11th October 2025. He was the cherished husband of Moira, father to Anthony, Claire and Helen, and grandfather to Annabel, Isobel, Megan and Michael.

A Requiem Mass will take place at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Fareham on Wednesday 12th November 2025 at 11.30am, with a private committal to follow. The family requests family flowers only. Former Lord Mayor James Patey Dies Aged 92

James Patey, who served as Portsmouth Lord Mayor in 1992-93 and Honorary Alderman, died peacefully in hospital on 14th October following a short illness. He was 92 years old and leaves behind his devoted wife Joy, daughter Julie and son-in-law Gary.

His funeral service will be held on Friday 21st November at St Michaels and All Angels Church, Paulsgrove at 1.30pm, followed by a private cremation. The family welcomes all to join them for refreshments at a local venue, which will be announced at the service. Christopher Hyde Wear Dies Aged 77

Christopher Hyde Wear died peacefully on 17th October 2025, aged 77 years. A Funeral Mass will be held at St John’s Catholic Cathedral on Wednesday 12th November at 12.15pm.
