Emergency services rescued a man who fell onto marshland at Farlington Marshes in Portsmouth this afternoon. Firefighters from Cosham and Southsea, alongside Fareham’s water rescue team, responded to the incident at approximately 2:15 PM.
The crews collaborated with South Central Ambulance Service and HM Coastguard teams to reach the casualty who had fallen down a wall onto the shore. The man received treatment at the scene before being safely lifted back to solid ground.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they left the location following a stop message at 4:19 PM. The marshland area, popular with walkers and nature enthusiasts, can present challenging terrain for emergency operations.

All three emergency services worked together to ensure the successful rescue of the individual from the difficult coastal location.
