An air ambulance landed near South Parade Pier this morning (June 15) following a welfare incident after a man was pulled from the water, with multiple emergency services responding swiftly to the seafront scene.
Police have confirmed they were called by the ambulance service shortly before 8am to a concern for welfare incident near South Parade Pier after a man was pulled from the water.
The man has since been taken to hospital, with the air ambulance departing the scene just after 9am.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
