The English Football League will release fixtures for the 2025/26 season on Thursday, 26 June at midday, revealing schedules for Championship, League One and League Two clubs following last month’s campaign conclusion.
Fixture Release Details
Following the end of the 2024/25 season last month, football fans eagerly await the much-anticipated fixture release day for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.
The comprehensive fixture list will be unveiled on Thursday, 26 June, with all schedules published at 12pm sharp.
Championship, League One, and League Two clubs will all discover their complete fixture calendars for the new season.
Season Commencement
The 2025/26 campaign will begin across the opening weekend of 1-3 August for League One and League Two sides, whilst Championship teams will start their seasons during the 8-10 August weekend.
The Championship will see 46 league fixtures spread across 33 weekends, nine midweek slots, and four bank holiday periods. Meanwhile, League One and League Two matches will be distributed over 33 weekends, five midweek dates, and eight bank holidays alongside international breaks.
Cup Competition Draws
Fixture release day will simultaneously feature the inaugural round draws for both the Carabao Cup and Vertu Trophy group stages, with live coverage provided by Sky Sports News.
The Vertu Trophy group stage draw commences at 2.30pm, with the Carabao Cup first round draw following at 4.30pm.
