Pompey Women Snap Up Forward Angelina Nixon

Pompey Women have completed the signing of forward Angelina Nixon on a two-year deal from National League North side Rugby Borough. The 23-year-old striker arrives with an impressive goalscoring record.

Nixon, who has previously played for Norwich, Cambridge, Birmingham and MK Dons, joined Borough in 2023 and has been in exceptional form over the past two seasons, finding the net 27 times in 48 appearances.

The prolific forward is expected to bolster Pompey’s attacking options as they gear up for the 2025/26 campaign, bringing her proven goalscoring ability and strong attacking instincts to the Blues’ frontline.

Blues manager Jay Sadler expressed his delight at securing Nixon’s signature: “We’re thrilled to welcome Angelina to Portsmouth. She’s a dynamic wide forward with outstanding ball-carrying ability and a strong physical profile.

“Angelina is an exciting talent, one we’ve been monitoring closely for several years, and we believe now is the right time for her to take the next step in her career.”

The signing represents another statement of intent from Pompey Women as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. Earlier, Pompey women signed Lucy Johnson, Jess Gray, and Jazz Bull.
