D-Day Story receives 2025 Travellers’ Choice Award

Portsmouth’s D-Day Story has secured a prestigious 2025 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award, earning recognition amongst the world’s top 10% of attractions based on visitor feedback and ratings.

The honour acknowledges the museum’s outstanding commitment to providing compelling visitor experiences whilst chronicling the D-Day landings and Normandy campaign through interactive exhibits, first-hand testimonies, and historical artefacts, notably the famous Landing Craft Tank 7074 and Overlord Embroidery.

Portsmouth City Council has expressed pride in the achievement, with the museum joining multiple city attractions recognised by Tripadvisor this year.

Cllr Steve Pitt, Portsmouth City Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Economic Development, commented:

“Seeing The D-Day Story gain Tripadvisor recognition again is brilliant, made even better by numerous Portsmouth attractions earning honours this year. These accolades showcase our teams’ dedication and the distinctive experiences our city provides.

“Portsmouth’s remarkable heritage, culture and beautiful waterfront consistently establish it as a premier destination attracting visitors throughout Britain and internationally.”

The recognition strengthens Portsmouth’s emerging profile as an essential cultural and historical tourism destination, with The D-Day Story standing alongside other city attractions receiving 2025 Travellers’ Choice Awards.
