The coloured slime contains excess concentrations of boron, which can harm children’s health by damaging their reproductive system if digested or through contact with excessive quantities. Parents and carers are advised to stop using the product immediately and return it to the point of sale.
The recalled item is a sensory slime toy available in various colours, supplied with shaping, kneading and mixing tools plus a silicone mat. The product carries barcode 3700802105374 and item number 2169.
The product fails to meet requirements under the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 due to the chemical hazard posed by excessive boron levels. The recall affects all end users who have purchased the item.
