A second elderly woman has died nearly two months after a two-car collision in Romsey, Hampshire. Both victims were passengers in the same vehicle during the April crash.
Police responded at 9.13pm on Friday 18 April following the collision on Luzborough Lane involving a black Ford Fiesta and a black Audi A3.
The first passenger, a woman in her 80s from North Baddesley, was hospitalised with serious injuries and died on 11 May. The second woman, also in her 80s and from North Baddesley, passed away at Southampton General Hospital on Sunday.
Both women’s families are receiving support from specialist officers.
A 23-year-old Southampton man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and has been released whilst investigations continue.

Detective Sergeant Gary Doughty said: “We know several people were present at the collision scene and some may not have contacted us yet. If you witnessed the incident or stopped at the scene, please contact us. Your information, however minor it may appear, could be vital to our investigation.”
