Police have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak to following the theft of a £12,000 ring from H. Samuel in Southampton’s West Quay Shopping Centre.
The incident occurred at around 4:30pm on Saturday, 5th July, when a man entered the jewellery store and approached a member of staff.
Whilst asking the employee to show him various pieces of jewellery, the suspect took the opportunity to steal a ring worth £12,000. He discreetly placed the stolen item in his pocket before leaving the premises undetected by staff.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary believe the individual captured in the CCTV image may possess information vital to their investigation. Officers are appealing for the man himself, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward.
