Police have questioned residents on a Portsmouth street following the discovery of a woman’s body, with officers launching a murder investigation.
The woman was discovered at a property on Wadham Road, North End, at approximately 7:30am on Thursday morning, prompting a significant police response to the area.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed they received the call at 7:37am on 5 June regarding the discovery at the residential address. Officers have established a forensic tent in the front garden while conducting their enquiries.
The death is being treated as suspicious, though police have not released details about the woman’s age or whether she resided at the property. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
