A 14-year-old pedestrian has died following a collision with a car towing a trailer in Waterlooville, with police now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
Hampshire police received reports of the tragic incident at 9pm on Monday, 7 July, on Lovedean Lane in Catherington.
The collision involved a vehicle pulling a trailer and a teenage pedestrian. Despite the emergency response, which included the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, the 14-year-old boy tragically passed away at the scene.
The teenager’s family has been notified and is receiving support from specialist officers.
A 24-year-old man from Waterlooville has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving whilst unfit through drugs. He has been released pending further investigation.

Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward, particularly those with relevant dashcam footage that may have captured the incident or the moments beforehand.
Police are asking: Were you travelling on Lovedean Lane at the time of the incident? Did you observe the vehicle or the pedestrian in the vicinity prior to the collision?
