A 26-year-old man has been charged following the discovery of suspected Class A drugs weighing approximately half a kilogram and more than £10,000 cash during a police operation in Aldershot.
Police were contacted at 10.30pm on Monday 16 June following reports of a suspected burglary at an empty property on Orchard Way.
The property owner had alerted authorities after discovering an intruder during a routine check of the vacant premises.
Officers from the Hart & Rushmoor District Policing Team responded immediately to the incident and apprehended a suspect at 10.36pm on Ash Road after a brief chase on foot.
During subsequent searches, police recovered around half a kilogram of suspected Class A substances, a substantial quantity of cannabis, and cash exceeding £10,000.
The Northern Area Crime Team conducted the investigation, leading to charges against Arlind Rrenga, aged 26, who has no fixed address.
Police seek witnesses after Odiham shed burglary
Charges include:
- Possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A
- Possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B
- Acquiring/using/possessing criminal property
Rrenga is scheduled to appear before Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (18 June).
