A former aviation company director has been sentenced to four years in prison for sexually abusing three children in Winchester over a six-year period.
Matthew Myatt, aged 57, carried out the abuse against two girls at Popham Airfield, where his aviation business operated, whilst also engaging in sexual communication online with a third victim.
The offences occurred between 2016 and 2022, during which time Myatt also pressured one of the girls into sending indecent photographs of herself to him in return for payments.
Police were notified of the crimes in April 2022.
After a thorough investigation, Myatt faced multiple charges and entered guilty pleas to:
- Sexual activity with a child
- Causing or inciting child prostitution or pornography
- Possession of indecent images of a child
- Sexual communication with a child
- Sexual assault
At Winchester Crown Court on 27 June, Myatt, from Cripstead Lane in Winchester, received a four-year prison sentence and was placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
The court also imposed a restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order containing restrictions on his internet access and contact with children.

Detective Constable Victoria Cobley, the investigating officer, commented: “Myatt exploited his position of trust to carry out these crimes, causing devastating harm to the victims.
“He relentlessly targeted three girls over several years to satisfy his own perverted desires.
“The victims showed remarkable courage in coming forward to report what happened to them, and their bravery has resulted in Myatt being brought to justice.”
