Portsmouth Trading Standards has warned residents after cold-callers targeted the North End area today, claiming homeowners have loose tiles and demanding substantial payments for repairs.
The service received notifications that door-to-door salespeople are operating in the neighbourhood, telling residents their roofing requires fixing before quoting significant amounts for the work.
Trading Standards is advising residents against entering into any contracts for roofing services after receiving unsolicited doorstep visits.
