Portsmouth FC Offer New Contracts to Ogilvie and Swanson

Portsmouth Football Club have offered new contracts to defender Connor Ogilvie and full-back Zak Swanson as the club confirms its retained list ahead of the 2026/27 Championship season.

Captain Marlon Pack has already signed a new deal to remain at Fratton Park, while midfielder Andre Dozzell was offered a contract but declined, choosing instead to join MLS club DC United.

The club has confirmed that goalkeeper Jordan Archer, defender Harry Clout and midfielder Reuben Swann will all depart when their contracts expire this summer. Head coach John Mousinho paid tribute to the outgoing trio, saying: “I would like to thank all the departing players for their efforts and we wish them well for the next stage of their careers. Jordan has been a model professional since joining us a couple of years ago, while Harry and Reuben have both shown plenty of promise and I’m excited to see how they develop.”

Archer joined Portsmouth FC in the summer of 2024 following his exit from QPR, making three appearances for the club. Swann arrived from AFC Sudbury at the same time and went on to enjoy productive loan spells at Havant & Waterlooville. Clout signed his first professional contract last August, having made his senior debut in an FA Cup tie at Wycombe earlier that year.

Six players have also returned to their parent clubs following the conclusion of their loan spells: Aji Alese, Millenic Alli, Florian Bianchini, Jacob Brown, Gustavo Caballero and Conor Chaplin. Mousinho thanked the clubs involved, adding: “I would also like to thank Sunderland, Luton, Swansea, Santos and Ipswich for loaning us their players. Aji got an unfortunate injury shortly after signing, but all the others had an important role in securing our Championship status.”

A large squad contingent remains under contract, including Ebou Adams, Keshi Anderson, Colby Bishop, Harvey Blair, Ibane Bowat, Josef Bursik, Terry Devlin, Madiodio Dia, Jacob Farrell, Ben Killip, Makenzie Kirk, Josh Knight, Márk Kosznovszky, Luke Le Roux, Hayden Matthews, Josh Murphy, Regan Poole, Nicolas Schmid, Adrian Segečić, Conor Shaughnessy, Tayo Singerr, Toby Steward, John Swift, Franco Umeh, Thomas Waddingham and Jordan Williams.
