Wickham Horse Fair Traffic Restrictions: What to Know

Temporary road closures and traffic management measures will be in place across Wickham on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, for the annual Wickham Horse Fair, affecting key roads including Wickham Square and the A334.

Motorists who do not reside in the area are strongly advised to plan ahead and use alternative routes while the restrictions remain active.

Wickham Square will be closed to all traffic from midday on Tuesday, 19 May, reopening at 10am on Thursday, 21 May. The A334, between its junction with Blind Lane/Titchfield Lane and its junction with the A32/School Road, will also be closed from midday on Tuesday, 19 May, and will reopen at 10am on Thursday, 21 May.

Signed diversions will be in operation throughout the event, and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. Full details of the traffic arrangements are available via the Hampshire County Council public notices portal.

Bus services will be diverted via Forest Road, Bishops Wood Road, and the A32 to avoid the A334 closure. A temporary bus stop will be set up on the A32 near the junction with Wyckham Field. Passengers are advised to check updated travel arrangements directly with their bus operator before travelling.

For queries relating to traffic or highway matters during the event, residents and road users can contact Hampshire County Council through the official highways reporting page at www.hants.gov.uk/transport/highways/report-a-problem/roads.
