A 75-year-old Gosport man has been charged with a sexual offence after police received reports he sent sexually explicit messages online to someone he believed to be a child on Saturday 21 February.
Brian Pepper, of Brockhurst Road, Gosport, was charged following enquiries by officers who were called shortly after 12pm on Saturday. He faces counts of attempted sexual communication with a child and attempted breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Pepper has been remanded in police custody and is due to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 23 February.
