Woman charged after Fleet traffic collision

A 45-year-old woman has been charged with multiple offences following a road traffic collision in Fleet on Monday evening. Julie Harrison faces charges including failing to provide a specimen, criminal damage, and assaulting a police officer.

Police were called to Reading Road North at 7.18pm on 8 December after reports of a single-vehicle collision. A Mini had struck a road sign and was obstructing the carriageway.

Officers attended the scene and conducted a roadside breath test, resulting in the woman’s arrest. During the incident, it was reported that a police vehicle sustained damage and an officer was assaulted.

Whilst in custody, the woman allegedly refused to provide a specimen for analysis.

Ms Harrison, of Sorrel Court, Fleet, has been charged with three offences: failing to provide a specimen for analysis, criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, and assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty.

She has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on 6 January 2026.
