Recent death notices have been announced for the Portsmouth area, honouring the lives of loved ones who have passed away. Families have shared funeral arrangements and memorial tributes for those who will be deeply missed.

Roy Collins

Mr Roy Collins passed away peacefully aged 90 on 17th November 2025. His funeral service is scheduled at The Oaks Crematorium in Havant on Friday, 5th December at 4.45pm. The family requests no flowers except from immediate family members. Derek Flahey Memorial

A loving tribute marks 14 years since Derek Flahey’s passing. His wife Hazel remembers her beloved husband with an enduring message of love, noting that whilst he is no longer present in life, he remains forever in her heart. Derek now rests alongside their dear daughter Helen.

Andrew John Pope

Andrew John Pope died peacefully at his home aged 74. He leaves behind his daughter Charlotte and granddaughter Carrie, along with numerous family members and friends who will greatly miss him. His funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Church on Thursday, 11th December at 12 noon. The family welcomes donations instead of floral tributes, which can be made at andrewpope.muchloved.com. Michael John Winn Memorial

29th November marks the anniversary of Michael John Winn’s death in 2019. Remembered with love by his mother Ivy, father John, wife Sue, and extended family as a cherished son, husband, brother, uncle and great-uncle, Michael remains deeply missed.

Mary Grant

Mary Grant died peacefully at home on 15th November 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on 25th December 1932, she was the adored wife of the late Peter Grant and a wonderful mother to Cathy, Jane and Alice. She was also a beloved grandmother to Emma, Peter, Andrew, Mollie, Archie and Ed. A private family ceremony will take place, with a wider celebration of Mary’s life planned for next year. The family requests donations to the Rosemary Foundation (hospice at home) instead of flowers.

Cynthia Margaret McBride

Cynthia Margaret McBride sadly passed away on 15th November 2025, aged 84. Born on 27th March 1941, Cynthia’s funeral service will take place at Portchester Crematorium, South Chapel, on Wednesday, 17th December 2025 at 1pm. The family requests no flowers, asking instead for donations to the British Heart Foundation or Hayling Island Donkey Sanctuary. Contributions can be made via the JustGiving link online or by cheque payable to the charity, sent care of Lee Fletcher Funeral Services, 95 High Street, Cosham, PO6 3AZ.
