Police have released CCTV images following a shoplifting incident at Waitrose in Hythe where £300 worth of alcohol was stolen. Officers are appealing for help identifying a suspect.
The theft occurred at the High Street store on Thursday, 18 September, between 2.25pm and 2.40pm. Bottles of champagne and vodka were taken during the incident.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has issued Hythe shoplifting CCTV footage showing a man they wish to speak with regarding the theft. The suspect is described as white, approximately 30 years old, with a tattoo visible on his left thigh. He was wearing shorts, a baseball cap and a jacket at the time.
Police believe the individual captured in the CCTV images holds vital information about the shoplifting and are urging him to come forward. Anyone who recognises the man or witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the timeframe is asked to contact authorities.
