A 34-year-old man has appeared in court charged with assault and knife offences following a fight outside shops in Blackwater where threats were made with a knife.
Police were called to London Road at 1.27am on 19 April following reports of a group of men fighting outside the shopping parade.
Witnesses reported that one individual was armed with a knife and making threats. Two people sustained injuries during the confrontation.
Following an investigation, officers arrested a suspect.

Okkes Yilmaz, 34, of London Road, Blackwater, has been charged with:
- Common assault x 2
- Threaten a person with a blade/sharp pointed article in a public place x 2
- Possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place
Yilmaz appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 19 August and was granted bail with conditions. He is scheduled to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 17 September.
