Pompey Women Complete Jemima Dahou Signing

Portsmouth Women have confirmed the acquisition of midfielder Jemima Dahou on a two-year deal following her departure from Blackburn Rovers, with an option for a further 12-month extension.

The England youth international has put pen to paper with the Blues after impressing during the 2024/25 WSL2 season, where she made 20 appearances for Blackburn.

Dahou’s footballing journey began in Everton’s youth setup before she progressed to Manchester City’s academy. The talented midfielder made her senior debut at just 16 years of age and netted her maiden professional goal in a fixture against Bristol City during February 2023.

The attacking midfielder brings valuable Women’s Super League 2 experience to manager Jay Sadler’s squad as Portsmouth look to strengthen their midfield options.

Speaking about the new arrival, Blues manager Jay Sadler expressed his enthusiasm: “We’re delighted to bring Jemima to Portsmouth. She’s a natural talent who really impressed against us on the final day last season.

“She will bring a different option to our midfield, she’s a visionary player who sees and plays the game with real grace and intelligence.

“I’m genuinely excited to start working with her and supporting her development moving forward.”

Pompey women earlier signed Erhabor, Angelina Nixon, and Lucy Johnson to strengthen their squad.
