Fire crews tackled a blaze at a Westquay restaurant in Southampton yesterday evening, 9 July. The incident started shortly after 7:30pm and remained confined to the kitchen area.
Emergency services from St Mary’s, Hightown, Redbridge, Eastleigh, and Southsea fire stations responded to the scene. Firefighters deployed three hose jets to tackle the flames and used ventilation fans to remove smoke from the building.
The all-clear was given shortly after 9:00pm, allowing crews to return to their stations.
Fire services expressed gratitude to staff and the public for their patience and cooperation during the incident.
