Portsmouth FC’s Lottery Targets 2,500 Members After 11 Years

Portsmouth FC’s Pompey Lottery celebrates its 11th year with over 2,300 members, now targeting 2,500 supporters by 2025 to fund the academy and health initiatives including prostate cancer testing.

As Portsmouth FC celebrates over a decade of the Pompey Lottery, the club extends heartfelt gratitude to more than 2,300 dedicated members who consistently support the club’s future ambitions.

Established in 2014 to fund the Pompey Academy, the lottery has evolved into an essential fundraising mechanism – nurturing emerging talent at Fratton Park whilst backing crucial health programmes like the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal (BKPCA).

With ambitions to reach 2,500 members by 2025, now represents the perfect opportunity to participate.

For merely £2 weekly, supporters receive:

  • Academy and BKPCA funding contributions
  • Two complimentary Pompey items, featuring signed player photographs
  • Entry into eight weekly cash prizes plus a £12,000 annual jackpot
  • Exclusive access to members-only occasions

Payment options include monthly, quarterly, six-monthly or yearly Direct Debit arrangements, offering complete convenience for supporters.

Pompey Lottery proceeds continue delivering meaningful results.

Recently, funds supported complimentary PSA screening at Fratton Park, conducted alongside the charity fixture honouring club icon Alan Knight. Results showed:

  • 162 men received testing
  • 21 per cent required GP consultations following early indicator detection

This potentially life-preserving programme exemplifies how lottery contributions benefit the wider community – with the club pledging additional similar events ahead.

Pompey academy manager Greg Miller expressed gratitude towards lottery supporters.

He commented: “Pompey Lottery members’ contributions genuinely influence our operations. Support enables higher-standard fixtures and national tournament participation, challenging our players mentally, tactically and physically.

“Such opportunities provide developmental moments supporting accelerated progress – subsequently enhancing our capacity to secure and maintain elite talent. We appreciate your ongoing commitment.”

Whether motivated by the cause, community spirit or prize opportunities – every Pompey Lottery entry contributes towards Portsmouth Football Club’s stronger tomorrow.

Play. Support. Win. Join immediately and ensure your backing matters.
