CCTV Images Released in Hedge End Shoplifting Case

Police have released CCTV images of two women they wish to speak to following a shoplifting incident at Smyths Toys in Hedge End on Tuesday 1 April, where items including a baby carrier were reportedly stolen.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary are seeking to identify the pair in connection with the theft which took place shortly after 10am at the Tollbar Way store.

Officers have provided detailed descriptions of both suspects. The first woman is described as white, around 5ft 8ins in height, with a large build and dark hair styled in a bun. She has prominent lips and was captured wearing sunglasses and a black jacket during the incident.

The second woman is described as having a large build with olive or tanned skin and her hair tied up. She was dressed in an all-red outfit at the time of the alleged theft.

Police believe both women, who were accompanied by two young children, may have crucial information that could assist their ongoing investigation.

Authorities are appealing for the women themselves, or anyone who recognises them, to come forward. Additionally, officers are seeking witnesses who may have observed the incident or noticed any suspicious activity in the vicinity during that time period.

Anyone with relevant CCTV footage, mobile phone recordings, dash cam material, or doorbell camera footage is also urged to contact police.
