Four people arrested and two charged following stabbing incident at Kingston Park, Portsmouth. Police responded to reports of assault on two teenagers by known individuals on Tuesday evening.
Detectives have made four arrests and brought charges against two individuals following a serious assault in Portsmouth’s Kingston Park.
Officers were called to the park, adjacent to Clarkes Road, at 6.57pm on Tuesday, 24th June after receiving reports that two young people had been attacked by individuals believed to be known to them.
The incident involved a 19-year-old man who allegedly suffered a knife wound to his arm, requiring hospital treatment before his release. A 17-year-old boy also sustained bite injuries to his arm and received medical attention.
Following extensive enquiries, police have charged two suspects:
A 16-year-old Southsea resident faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order by associating with a prohibited individual.
A 16-year-old Portsmouth resident has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possessing an offensive weapon in public, and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order through prohibited association.

Both defendants were remanded in custody and appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today (30th June).
Two additional arrests have been made in connection with the investigation.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He remains on bail until 26th September pending ongoing enquiries.
A 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on conditional bail until 29th September whilst investigations continue.
