Officers are seeking to speak with the individual following the incident which occurred on Ashley Lane at approximately 5:50am on Saturday, 21st June.

A woman emerged from her home to discover the man inside her vehicle attempting to start the engine. She opened the car door and removed the man from the vehicle, after which he departed on foot in the direction of Hare Lane.

The suspect is described as having a recent injury above his eyebrow area.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has released an image of the man they wish to speak with regarding this incident. Whilst acknowledging the photograph quality could be clearer, police hope the combination of facial features and clothing visible will help someone identify him.
