Motorists are experiencing significant delays on the M27 eastbound approaching Portsmouth due to a lane closure for essential bridge maintenance work, with 15-minute delays currently being reported near junction 12 where the M27 and M275 converge.
The inside lane remains shut whilst bridge repair works continue at the busy interchange where the M27 and M275 meet. This closure is forcing traffic from both motorways to merge, creating substantial congestion stretching back towards Fareham.
According to AA Traffic News, drivers are facing “severe delays of 15 minutes and delays increasing on M27 eastbound between J11 A27 (Fareham/Gosport) and M275, with average speeds of ten mph.”
