Police have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to question following a serious assault in Ryde that left a victim in his twenties with significant injuries requiring hospital treatment.
Officers are investigating the attack which occurred in Union Street, Ryde, during the early hours of Sunday 1st June, between 2.15am and 2.20am.
The incident involved a man being struck with a punch, causing him to fall and strike his head against the ground. The victim, aged in his twenties and from Cowes, sustained serious injuries and required hospital treatment before being discharged.
Police have now released an image of an individual they would like to speak to as part of their ongoing investigation.
The man is described as white, approximately 20-25 years of age, around 5ft 9in in height, with short dark brown hair and stubbled facial hair.

The CCTV image shows him wearing a multi-coloured patterned jacket over a white t-shirt featuring a dark design, dark-coloured jeans and white trainers. He appears to have a tattoo visible on his neck area.
