Portsmouth faces a predominantly cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, some heavy at times, according to the Met Office. Temperatures will reach a high of 15°C with breezy conditions along the coast.
The forecast shows rain throughout much of today, with a 90% chance of precipitation around midday and 1pm. Current conditions at 11am show overcast skies at 13°C, feeling like 11°C, with a 30% chance of rain and southerly winds at 10mph.
Brighter spells may develop later this afternoon as rainfall becomes more showery in nature. Wind speeds will remain moderate, reaching gusts of up to 25mph during the day.
Tonight’s Outlook
Clear spells will dominate tonight with mostly dry conditions across Portsmouth. Some coastal showers remain possible, whilst cloud will thicken and winds strengthen in western areas towards dawn. Temperatures will drop to around 5°C in rural locations. Humidity levels will range between 83% and 92%.
Tuesday Forecast
Eastern areas will stay largely dry with bright intervals on Tuesday. Thicker cloud will affect western parts, bringing outbreaks of rain. Heavier rainfall in Portsmouth is expected to spread across all areas during the evening hours, accompanied by strengthening winds. Maximum temperatures will reach 14°C.
Extended Outlook
Wednesday through Friday will bring unsettled conditions with rain or showers interspersed with clearer interludes. Overnight fog patches are possible. Occasionally breezy conditions will continue, with temperatures remaining mostly mild throughout the period.
