Portsmouth to see clear skies tonight before Monday clouds

Portsmouth residents can expect clear skies this evening before low cloud moves in overnight, with Monday bringing cooler, cloudier conditions but remaining largely dry throughout the day.

Skies will remain clear across Portsmouth late this evening, providing good visibility for residents. However, from midnight onwards, areas of low cloud will gradually advance from the east, becoming widespread during the early hours whilst staying dry.

Tomorrow morning will see Portsmouth become increasingly cloudy as low cloud thickens further across the area. Despite the overcast conditions, it will remain largely dry throughout the day. The evening may bring some relief as cloud begins to break, revealing a few late sunny spells, though temperatures will be notably cooler than recent days.

Monday’s temperatures are forecast to reach a maximum of 23°C during the day, dropping to around 16°C overnight.

Looking ahead to Tuesday through Thursday, Portsmouth faces an increased chance of showers on Tuesday, with some potentially heavy and thundery downpours expected. However, there will still be the odd sunny break between the showers.

Wednesday will bring rather cloudy conditions under areas of low cloud, but it will become dry and cool. A few sunny breaks will be possible, becoming more widespread by the evening.

Thursday morning looks promising with sunny conditions expected. During the afternoon, areas of patchy cloud will develop, but conditions will remain dry and settled.
