Portsmouth faces heavy downpours today as a weather warning remains in effect until 3pm this afternoon. The Met Office has confirmed that heavy showers are moving towards the city, with widespread rainfall and potentially thundery conditions expected throughout Saturday’s weather.
The meteorological service has confirmed that downpours are heading towards the area.
The forecast indicates: “Widespread rainfall and showers throughout Saturday, turning heavy with possible thunderstorms.
“Sunday is expected to be largely fine and dry, though isolated showers and strong coastal winds are anticipated. Monday will start dry before cloud cover develops.”
Weather data shows a 90 per cent probability of rain at 10am, dropping to an 80 per cent chance of precipitation at 1pm on Saturday.
