Roadworks persist at the Hilsea interchange near Portsmouth, causing ongoing disruption to M27 and M275 traffic with round-the-clock lane restrictions affecting motorists travelling through the area.
Drivers are experiencing continued delays as construction work progresses at Junction 12 of the M27 at Hilsea. The project has resulted in a permanent lane closure on the M275 northbound carriageway where it connects to the M27 eastbound.
Additional temporary restrictions are in place on the M27 westbound, with lane closures operating from 8pm on Thursday evenings through to 6am on Monday mornings.
The ongoing works are being carried out by National Highways as part of improvements to the busy interchange, which serves as a key route for traffic entering and leaving Portsmouth.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and consider alternative routes where possible during the affected periods.
