The A3 near Liphook has partially reopened following a police incident this morning, with the southbound carriageway and one northbound lane now accessible to traffic after earlier closures in both directions.
The major route was shut completely earlier today (June 19) whilst Hampshire police dealt with an ongoing incident. Authorities have now confirmed that motorists can use the southbound section fully, alongside a single lane heading northbound.
A representative from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary stated: “Officers have been managing an incident on the A3, close to Liphook. The carriageway was shut in both directions, but the southbound section is now operational, together with one northbound lane.
“Additional information will be released when appropriate.”
