Adrian Segečić has officially been awarded Pompey’s second goal from Saturday’s 3-1 triumph over Millwall after the EFL confirmed the Australian forward’s strike, which was initially recorded as an own-goal by defender Tristan Crama.
The match officials had originally credited the goal to Crama after Segečić’s attempt appeared to deflect off the visiting defender during the encounter at Fratton Park.
However, following a review, the English Football League has now ruled that Segečić deserves recognition for the strike, marking his fourth goal for the Blues since his summer arrival from Sydney FC.
The updated decision has also increased Josh Murphy’s assist tally for the current campaign from three to four, rewarding the winger’s contribution in the build-up to the goal.
