Portsmouth defender Tom McIntyre has completed a season-long loan move to Bradford City for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign. The 26-year-old centre-back joins the Bantams as they continue their impressive start to League One.
Bradford have begun the current season unbeaten following their promotion from League Two and are preparing for an exciting Carabao Cup fixture against Newcastle United.
Portsmouth manager John Mousinho expressed his satisfaction with the arrangement, stating: “Tom has been a pleasure to work with ever since he arrived at the club, but hopefully this move gives him the regular first team football he needs.
“It’s a good move to a club competing at the top end of League One and we wish him all the best for the season.”

The defender originally arrived at Fratton Park from Reading in January 2024, though an injury sustained during his debut prevented him from contributing to Portsmouth’s title-winning League One campaign.
McIntyre has featured in 14 matches for Portsmouth since his arrival. During the latter part of last season, he spent time on loan with Charlton Athletic, where he played a role in helping the Addicks achieve promotion to the Championship.
The temporary transfer provides McIntyre with an opportunity to gain consistent playing time whilst Bradford benefit from his defensive experience as they aim to establish themselves in the third tier of English football.
