Five families have announced registered deaths in Portsmouth this week, with funeral services scheduled throughout November and December. The notices include beloved family members aged between 84 and 90 years old.
Morrie Joseph

Morrie Joseph died peacefully at Bluebell Nursing Home on 30th October 2025, aged 87 years. His wife Sheila and family were present at his bedside during his final moments.
A former boilermaker at Portsmouth Dockyard, Mr Joseph leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness and quiet dignity. He is survived by his devoted wife Sheila, son Nick with wife Sally and granddaughter Courtney, alongside husband Bill and great-grandson Teddy. His other children Steve and Jayne, along with grandchildren Alex, Chloe, Emily and Quinn, also mourn his passing.
His funeral service will take place at Portchester Crematorium on Friday, 28th November at 10am. The family requests no flowers, with donations welcomed for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Ella Leckie

Ella Leckie (née Shearer) passed away peacefully at her home on 24th October 2025, aged 86 years. She was a cherished wife, sister, mother and grandmother.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday, 25th November 2025 at 1pm at St Edmunds Church, Horndean, followed by interment at Catherington Cemetery. Flowers are welcome and may be sent to Barrells, 36 London Road, Waterlooville, PO7 7TA. All are invited to attend.
Jean Margaret Goddard

Jean Margaret Goddard died peacefully on 31st October 2025, aged 90 years.

Gary Clarke

Gary Clarke sadly passed away on 28th October 2025. His funeral service is scheduled at The Oaks Crematorium, Havant on Monday, 24th November 2025 at 10am.

Carol Valerie Tooes passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 5th November 2025, aged 84 years. She will be deeply missed by her family and numerous friends.
