Seven Portsmouth area residents have died in recent weeks, with funeral services scheduled throughout December 2025 and early January 2026. The deceased include a 98-year-old Second World War generation resident and a former Hampshire police officer.
Ronald Charles Breeze
Ronald Charles Breeze, 98, died peacefully at Queen Alexandra Hospital on 4th December 2025. He is survived by his brother Les, sister-in-law Mo, and extended family including nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral service will take place at Portchester Crematorium on Wednesday 17th December at 3.15pm. Lorraine Hilda Crippen
Lorraine Hilda Crippen, 54, passed away at home on 23rd November. She leaves behind her husband Steve and son Aaron with his wife Tiff. A celebration of life service is scheduled for Thursday 18th December at The Oaks, Havant Crematorium at 2.30pm. John Lee
John Lee, 88, died on 24th November following a short illness. The former police officer served with Hampshire Constabulary’s OCSD division in Fareham and Gosport during the 1980s and early 1990s. He held prominent positions including Past President of Hampshire Amateur Swimming Association and Past Chairman of Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service for 14 years, later serving as Vice President for 17 years. His funeral takes place on Thursday 18th December at Portchester Crematorium at 11.30am.
Arthur Thomas Tagg
Arthur Thomas Tagg, 85, passed away peacefully at home on 17th November 2025. His funeral service will be held at St Mary’s Church, Portsea on Thursday 18th December at 12.30pm. The family requests no flowers, with donations suggested for A.E.D Donate and Alzheimer’s Society via www.barrells.co.uk.

George Robert Condie, 78, died at Mountbatten Hospice Hampshire on 1st December 2025. He is survived by his wife Ann and children Paula and Stephen. Belinda Jane Jackson, known as Lynne, died on 15th November 2025 aged 61 following a lengthy battle with cancer.
