Seven Portsmouth area residents have died recently, with funeral arrangements announced by their families this week.
Maurice John Martin, 92, passed away suddenly on 5th December 2025. His funeral service will be held at The Oaks, Havant Crematorium on Thursday 8th January at 1:45pm. The family has requested no flowers, with donations preferred to The Fire Brigade Charity. Mr Martin is survived by his children and grandchildren Marie, Jo, Charli, Will, Lee and Paula.
Michael Povey, known locally as Mike or Mick, died peacefully at home on 29th November 2025, aged 62. His funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday 30th December 2025 at 2:30pm at Portchester Crematorium. Flowers are welcome.
Janet Ann Brewer, 78, sadly passed away on 2nd December 2025. She will be remembered by four generations of her family. The funeral service will take place on 30th December at 1:30pm at Chichester Crematorium. Immediate family flowers only, with donations welcome to Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance.
Andrew Woolhead died on 9th December 2025 at QA Hospital, aged 55. His funeral service will be held on Monday 22nd December at 12:30pm at The Sacred Heart Church, Waterlooville, followed by a private committal service. John Richard Green passed away peacefully on 27th November 2025, aged 84. His funeral service is set for Friday 9th January 2026 at 10:30am at Portchester Crematorium. Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society.

Thomas Whittenham’s memory was honoured in a remembrance notice from his wife Pat, who continues to miss him dearly. The Dewane family also remembered Tom and Christobel Dewane in touching tributes.
