Firefighters rescued a cow whose head had become trapped between two ash trees in a north Hampshire village on Saturday evening.
On-call crews from Kingsclere Fire Station, alongside animal rescue specialists from Lyndhurst and Winchester, were called to Crux Easton at approximately 7:30pm.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) teams worked in collaboration with a local veterinary surgeon to free the distressed animal.

Firefighters employed specialised animal rescue techniques and a telehandler to carefully lift and release the cow from between the trees. The animal was examined following the rescue and found to be unharmed by the incident.
The successful operation demonstrated the effectiveness of coordinated emergency response involving multiple fire stations and veterinary support in rural animal rescue situations.
