Bransbury Park’s hard courts and astroturf pitch will shut from Monday 3 November until Friday 7 November whilst ground investigations take place for the new building development. The facility will reopen as soon as the work is completed.
The investigations will focus on the southern section of the existing courts, where the new building is planned. A new astroturf court and multi-use games area are set to be created on the northern portion of the site.
Contractors have been instructed to keep disruption to a minimum throughout the five-day closure period. The dates were specifically selected to avoid the half-term holiday.
The council has apologised in advance for any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause to users.
Following the completion of these investigations, contractors may be visible in the area undertaking additional work. However, this subsequent work will not require any further closures or access restrictions to the courts.
