Southsea Food Festival returns this weekend for its 17th year, featuring more than 60 food and drink vendors across Southsea on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 July in this popular free event.
The festival, recognised as one of the South Coast’s premier food events, brings together local and regional producers, hot food vendors, family activities, and live acoustic performances. This year introduces the Kitchen Stage, where local chefs and restaurant owners will demonstrate their skills whilst sharing culinary tips and samples.
The weekend celebration spans Clarendon Road, Palmerston Road, Osborne Road, and Avenue De Caen throughout Southsea. Visitors can enjoy churros, takoyaki, ice cream, BBQ fare, local condiments, tea, wines, craft beers, and Portsmouth’s celebrated 5-year aged rum.
This festival champions local independent businesses whilst showcasing Portsmouth & Southsea’s vibrant culinary landscape.
Prepare for an exceptional foodie weekend!
The festival transforms Southsea across multiple streets including Palmerston, Clarendon and Osborne roads, plus the entire length of Avenue De Caen. Nation radio sponsors the event, which features diverse food options including vegetarian, vegan and pet-friendly choices.
Entertainment includes an acoustic stage highlighting local musicians organised by The Wedgewood Rooms, family activities, and the debut Kitchen Stage where local chefs and restaurateurs demonstrate their specialities.
More than 60 traders have confirmed their participation in this year’s festival.
