Southsea Food Festival 2026 Dates Confirmed

Southsea Food Festival 2026 dates have been confirmed by Portsmouth City Council, with the popular event scheduled for Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July 2026 in Southsea town centre.

The festival, entering its 18th edition, will showcase Portsmouth’s thriving food and drink culture whilst forming part of the Portsmouth 100 programme – a year-long commemoration of the city’s centenary status.

Southsea’s town centre will be transformed into a vibrant destination featuring culinary stalls, live entertainment, activities for families, and the popular Kitchen Stage where regional chefs and producers deliver live cooking demonstrations.

Previous year’s attendance exceeded 63,000 people, contributing £1.52 million to the regional economy, figures from Portsmouth research company Evosa revealed. More than 80 enterprises participated, with over half based locally, establishing the festival as a vital component of Portsmouth’s visitor economy and a showcase for the city’s diverse gastronomic expertise.

The council is collaborating with Victorious Festival’s production team to deliver the event, guaranteeing excellent standards for attendees, vendors, and locals whilst cementing its position amongst southern England’s premier food festivals.

Councillor Steve Pitt, Leader of Portsmouth City Council and Cabinet Member for Economic Development, commented: “Southsea Food Festival exemplifies our commitment to supporting local enterprises whilst drawing thousands of guests to Portsmouth. As part of Portsmouth 100, this year’s festival promises to surpass previous editions, boosting our hospitality sector and reinforcing our economic foundations.”

James Ralls, Managing Director of Victorious Festival, stated: “We’re delighted to extend our collaboration with Portsmouth City Council. Southsea Food Festival remains a summer highlight for Portsmouth and perfectly showcases the outstanding culinary talent across our area. We’re honoured to support it again.”

Business and trader applications for Southsea Food Festival 2026 are currently being accepted.
