Police are calling on farmers and landowners to report suspicious activity following three hare coursing incidents in rural Winchester between 24-26 June.
Hampshire Police have received reports of hare coursing in the Woodmancott area, prompting increased patrols by the Country Watch Rural Crime Task Force.
Whilst hare coursing typically occurs during autumn and winter months, officers are responding to these unusual summer incidents with enhanced surveillance of affected areas.
Authorities stress that intelligence from the public is vital for planning patrols and targeted operations against this illegal activity.
Police are particularly interested in reports of suspicious individuals or vehicles on agricultural land across the county.
