A vehicle collided with a wall on the A27 in Fareham this afternoon, prompting police to divert traffic away from the area. Officers responded to the incident at 2:47pm with no serious injuries reported.
The collision occurred on The Avenue, causing significant disruption to westbound traffic flow.
AA Traffic News had earlier reported: “Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to crash on A27 The Avenue westbound.”
Police officers who attended the scene have now provided further details about the incident. A police spokesperson confirmed: “We were called at 2.47pm with reports that a car had collided with a wall on The Avenue.
“No serious injuries have been reported. Westbound traffic is being diverted down Bishopsfield Road.”
The diversion remains in place whilst officers deal with the aftermath of the collision.
