A 22-year-old Portsmouth man has been arrested following an alleged attack on a woman at The Emsworth Hotel on 10 June, with police taking him into custody after the incident.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was allegedly threatened and assaulted during the incident at the hotel.
The suspect now faces multiple charges including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, stalking, and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour. Additional alleged offences include false imprisonment, intentional strangulation, and criminal damage.
Police have also arrested him on suspicion of threatening to share intimate photographs, sending indecent communications, using violence to secure entry, and harassment.
The arrest follows the incident earlier this month where the woman was reportedly subjected to threats and physical assault at the Emsworth venue.
