Police seek witnesses after suspected arson at Romsey reserve

Police are seeking witnesses after two fires broke out at Abbotswood Nature Reserve in Romsey yesterday evening, with officers treating the incident as suspected arson. The blazes were reported at 5:15pm on 29th June with no injuries reported.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service successfully extinguished both fires at the nature reserve.

Following the incident, officers have conducted several enquiries and believe a small group of children were present in the vicinity at the time of the fires.

As part of continuing investigations, police are appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
