Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Basingstoke on Thursday evening. A man in his twenties suffered severe head and facial injuries during an altercation on Winterthur Way.
Hampshire Constabulary received reports at 7:09pm yesterday (Thursday 19 June) of a disturbance involving three men and one woman on the footpath near blocks 1-53 Winterthur Way.
Emergency services attended and found a male victim in his twenties who had sustained serious head trauma along with facial and eye injuries. The injured man was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police have launched an investigation and are now seeking public assistance to piece together the events of Thursday evening.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity at the time of the incident. They want to speak to people who may have witnessed the altercation or noticed any unusual activity in the area.
