Hampshire Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following two linked commercial burglaries in Hythe and Nursling during the early hours of Wednesday 9 July, where safes containing cash were stolen from both premises.
The first incident occurred at approximately 1am when three individuals broke into the Flogas facility on Charleston Road in Hythe. The perpetrators forced their way into a building before making off with a safe containing cash and keys. Witnesses reported seeing the suspects flee the scene in what appeared to be a dark grey Land Rover Discovery.
Just over an hour later, at around 2.10am, officers received reports of a second break-in at the Costa Coffee Drive Thru located at Adanac Park off Hurst Way in Nursling. Five men reportedly forced entry into the premises and stole a safe containing cash before escaping in a Land Rover Discovery.
Police have confirmed they are treating both incidents as connected due to the similarities in the methods used and the vehicles involved. The investigation remains in its early stages.
Detectives are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been travelling through either area during the relevant timeframes and could have captured footage on dashcam equipment that might assist with their enquiries.
