Hampshire Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a man in Portsmouth city centre during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Officers are investigating after receiving a third-party report of an incident near Wingfield Street and Turner Road at approximately 12.45am on 27 December. Witnesses reported seeing a man assaulted by two individuals in the area.
Police have yet to identify the victim and are urging him to come forward to confirm his wellbeing and provide a statement regarding the incident.
Two men, aged 32 and 37, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the assault. Both suspects have been released on bail with conditions whilst enquiries continue.
